Whining

It is hard enough to go to work on Sunday, and even harder to go to work this Sunday, when somewhere out there people are still enjoying long weekend…but come to work I need. And come to work I shall…we have planned a Big Server’s Crash this weekend. Well, not a Crash, as such, but there will be electrical works tomorrow in our server room and all the servers are gonna be taken down for half day at least…on Friday we set up sweep steps on how many servers will not come back alive after cooling down for such a long time, how many disks will fail, how many systems will be still down on Monday, etc…not that we’d like this to happen, but some of the servers are really old and in this state, when ”you’d rather not touch it” just to keep it going…that’s why we booked this for Sunday. So we will have time to fix if anything important goes wrong…oh well…Funny how just one day makes it so different…Having two days for weekend break have been too comfortable and now it feels like I haven’t had my rest before the next week start…I feel tired and not having enough time for me this weekend…[~sighs]
