The Flowers Of Autumn Days…

You know, days could be so strange sometimes…thought, I guess, it depends on a mood you in to watch them, days…
Today I’ve found first signs of coming winter: night frost left post-it notes on my car’s window. But also something completely opposite happened: roses, that for some very personal rose’s reasons have decided to make an appearance once more before the winter…Absolutely gorgeous white roses outside my window….wow…I’m holding my breath overwhelmed by their pure beauty…

And now – outside the office window – the sun and oh so clear skies…and so transparent air [~can you really say this? I suppose one can’t see transparent things…but no other words would be good enough to describe]…a call for a walk …calling…calling…..calling…and I just can’t sit in the office right now! Got to be there to grab that last autumn breath…
The flowers of autumn days
Are sweeter than the firsts of plains.
For they awaken an impression,
That’s strong, although it may be sad,
Just as the pain of separation
Is stronger than the sweet of date…

  1. Neither am I… prey or prayed upon… I am what is… a culmination of my experiences… my way of expression… I get a sense and I run with that… This is my artistic place… this is the artist’s domain… If one comes here to find the man behind the mask… they are usually frustrated… this is my chamber of creation… it is where I go and put things I think of through the day… I collect them as I wander… in my search for the muse… and what comes forth does so in endless rambles and brambles and thorns and wild flowers and roses… as well as fruit that is savored for its delight to the lips and appetite of the mind…

  2. night frosts and white roses. mmmm….indicative of a peaceful winter. velvety soft petals of those roses and snowflakes i have never seen…would you touch for me?

  3. But there ARE things that overwhelm us. Because we have eyes that see, ears that hear, bodies that feel, and souls that appreciate.

So a gorgeous day turned gloomy. We need a little gloom from time to time to better appreciate the bright and wonderful. At least you had the sun and the white roses to start your day.

    Shalom
