…All wet hey you might need a raincoat
Shakedown dreams walking in broad daylight…
A thought about crossroads…When we come across one of those…what are our actions? How do we decide which way to turn?..
• Would we sit there in the middle and wait for someone to walk by to ask directions?
• Would we find someone decisive and purposeful and follow them marching with enthusiasm?
• Would we simply wait until someone running by push us by accident or intentionally into one of the side roads?
• Or would we dedicate the rest of our life to draw a map of a place and calculating probabilities of getting somewhere sometime?
I can’t answer for myself…it feels like I’ve been speeding away before and got to the crossroad completely exhausted and out of breath…I would love to have a luxury to sit down for a while, to swing leisurely in the evening, watching the sunset, drinking martini…
But on a crossroads you just can’t allow yourself to relax. On a crossroad you need to watch the situation to avoid collision, to wait for a green light to proceed in chosen direction. The most important, you’ve got to make a decision which way to turn…
…and there is more
I feel like I have been at this cross road of mine forever. I don’t think I have seen a green light at all. I am just stuck here. Yucch.
Nice entry… I have approached crossroads differently at different times in my life. I sometimes rush through them, perhaps without giving enough thought to the implications of moving forward in the direction I choose… other times I think TOO much about the implications, and it paralyses me from moving in either direction. A balance would be good… giving some thought, comitting to a direction, then following through. Sounds good on paper, but it’s harder in real life.
