Bird Obsession Weekend.

So the weekend happened to be not bad at all. Saturday we accidentally had a preview of what’s summer is all about – we had sun shining, temperature rising up to +17C (that’s 62.6 in Fahrenheit) and we had camellias blooming in Oxford Arboretum. And you might’ve guessed already that Arboretum was the place where we went on Saturday to get our piece of spring/summer (and who knows, when the same will happen again next time – there is no pattern in the weather on this Island!)

So the weather was nice, the camellias – fantastic, all colours from pure white to dark red. And also we accidentally witnessed the mating games of local peacocks! Honestly, that was some sight, I must say! I’ve never actually seen it in the wild, so it was only "natural" for me to take as much pix as I only could, and even to capture a short movie! Click Here to see it

I won’t say more, but will let you see for yourself. And if I seem a bit “bird-obsessed” recently with all those swans and peacocks, that’s just a phase we’re going through along with the Nature that kindly lets us to be near all the wonders that happen in a time of Spring…

Have a great week ahead, everybody! Look around, notice a wonder, share it with others 🙂

  1. How can something so gorgeous have such a gawd-awful-voice? The rear view ain’t so hot either.

Managed to catch the swan leaving the nest.

    Shalom
