I have come to understand the solem purpose of the shelves – they hide the ugly walls! Take out the shelves and what looked as “more or less ok” place suddenly becomes a shock&horror room…
but with a little touch of magic, (translates as “with a little touch of paint”) it’s a different perception all together…

How did you make that list of diaries there at the bottom of your page??? This is a great feature. Just like “diaries I read” we used to have. VERY good thing to get people connected.
Dashboard–>Appearance–>Menus:
on the top right corner there is a + tab – Add Menu
once clicked, you should be able to create a new menu I called mine – Friends links)
Once new menu created, you can add as many Custom Links to it as you want – you have to open each friend’s diary and copy their url.
Once the menu with the links created, you can add it to any Widget on your page by dragging Custom Menu box to the Widget area (it will then give you a choice which menu to put)
How to put it at the bottom of the page:
the bottom of the page area called “Footer” in the Widget selection. It is devided into three (Footer1, Footer2, Footer3) Generally, imagine the bottom part of the page split into three equal columns – that’s these footers. to give you an idea: I have placed my Friends Links custom menu to the Footer1 widget. I have placed Misstick Digest drop down list into Footer2 area.
You can play with the location and place your Friend’s diaries links anywhere where there is a widget available.
Hi Misstick ~ I have finally migrated my old DD diary to the new site. But I don’t see on the Home page where you can look at other people’s diaries, or see the 10 most recently updated diaries or anything. Am I blind?? How do I find other diaries on here??
